Helping Hand EAP Advantages

One of the highest usage rates!!!

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is only good for your organization if it is used. In contrast to most programs, the Helping Hand EAP encourages usage!!!

The Helping Hand Advantages:

  • We make monthly plant visits during the first six months and quarterly visits thereafter. The purpose is to review the program with the staff and management and promote a continued sense of familiarity, trust, and confidence.
  • If desired, an on-site office can be established at your site to help those needing the convenience of time and an on-site location. Research has shown this approach greatly encourages program involvement.
  • All staff will be oriented to the program: staff, administration, and supervisors.
  • Immediate family members are also eligible to use the program, including children up to age 18.
  • Trained debriefing counselors are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year. By calling an 800 number, a counselor will review your employee’s needs and make the appropriate referral to a local licensed counselor.
  • A special phone number is established for emergencies. An examiner will make an immediate referral, and follow the participant’s progress until the emergency is safely and/or adequately transitioned or resolved.
  • Ongoing educational materials will be made available at regular intervals to all eligible participants. This helps remind your employees of our program’s existence, availability, and spectrum of services.
  • All therapists are interviewed for competency beyond the routine review of licensure and liability. The better relationship that exists between them and your Helping Hand Program, the better service your employees will receive. An EAP program is only as good as the participating therapists.
  • Helping Hand is not associated with any insurance company and receives no incentives for limiting or capping services.
  • Monthly or quarterly statistical usage reports are provided at no additional cost.
  • We do not do wills, oil changes or any of the other gimmicks that often distract many present day EAPs.
